Mare Bellezza TR (12.7.2000 - )

Our own Finnish Warm Blood (FWB) mare Bellezza TR was born on the 12.7.2000 in our own stable in Masku and she represents second generation of our own breeding . Her mother is also bred by us Arietta 1606 (f.Argwohn, ff. Argus, mf. Trumf). Her father is great Swedish Elit-stallion Flyinge Amiral (f. Napoleon, ff. Iran, mf. Flamingo) Amiral was one of the most legendarian Swedish stallions. He has been the best stallion in inhereting movements. His own merits include also Olympic games in Dressage with famous Finnish rider Kyra Kyrklund. We saw the couple in Helsinki International Horse Show 1998 and that was it: we wanted to have a foal from Amiral. TR means Tapojärven Rustholli and we shall use this name in all our foals in the future.

Betti has been in an official horse show when she was 2 years old foal (posing photo below). She got 8-7-6-8-8=37 points and second class price.  So we had a pretty high expectations for her in official stud book show of Finnish Hippos. And she scored even better we hoped for breeding with nice points and 2nd price:  39 points =  8 of good type of warm blood riding horse - 8 head, neck, body - 7 legs - 8 walk - 8 trot. There was only one point missing from the 1st class price that only about 5% of riding horses get. 39 points is even more we dreamed about and it is very difficult to breed better in her coming foals. In Finnish Hippos the judges were Kirsi Lehtonen (heas judge, right in photo), Anna Pajanen and Ilona Pykäläinen. My little sister Sanna showed Betti on the ground and professional dressage rider Minna Kauppinen rode her.

Betti has stronger temperament than her mother and very big ego and lot of dominance. She is a typical boss mare.  Those are very positive strenghts in competitions if you can manage them well. Betti competed in dressage Finnish cup for 5 year old horses with  Petra Ulmonen. They got 62.94% in national B:3 class. Her best dressage record was over 64% in a regional competition. They took part in year 2005  to 10 dressage competitions.

Betti has a very good co-ordination and lot of power that are also good in show jumping. At the age of 7 she was very challenging and needed a very brave and dynamic riding. So we decided to train her next to show jumping. Betti started her career as a show jumping horse on the 17.5.07 in Salo with Jenna Kulmala, who has jumped in HIHS already as a young rider. First regional 90 cm competition went very well with one fallen barrier. Result was very good when you know that Betti has been jumping with a rider only about 30 times before that and with Jenna only about 10 times. Betti developed very well with Jenna in summers 2007 and 2008. She gained good experience both in the biggest Finnish Horse Jumping Competition Seahorse week in Hanko (a photo besides) as well as from the Metsämäki Masters national jumping on grass bottom. 

Her highlights in jumping were couple of 0 rounds in 110 cms classes where she was also placed as 4th.  Jenna and Betti were trained by the one of the best trainers in Finland  Kari Nevala and Raimo Aaltonen. Unfortunately good co-operation with Jenna ended when she bought a young german gelding in summer 2008. Since that Betti has furfilled our dreams as an excellent riding horse on our own stable. You can do everything with her you can think about: practice piruettes and changes of gallop etc. Only her big and powerful trot is a little bit challenging to a such a normal aunt rider that we already are... Luckily galloping is always much more fun than trotting! Betti´s career shall continue as a breeding mare.
